At our TMI Sports Medicine ASC project in Grand Prairie, one overnight structural slab pour highlighted exactly what true partnership looks like.
In this trade partner story, our Client Executive Michael Knapp shares his experience with two trade partners for our project:
“I want to give a huge shout-out to the people who work the hours others don’t want to work. Concrete Preservation (a Southwest Construction Services company) showed up at midnight to begin preparing for a critical concrete pour on our project in Grand Prairie. Their team included Agapito Lopez, Hector Tepetla, Tim Dennis, and John VanGundy.
We are talking over 800 cubic yards of concrete for this structural slab, with 160 tons of rebar, poured monolithically with the grade beams. Over 90 trucks of concrete were needed, and Big D Ready Mix Concrete delivered and kept the trucks coming.
Thank you to the crews, drivers, pump operators, and finishers—you are the unsung heroes of the construction industry. You work the uncomfortable hours and often put in a full day’s work before others step out of bed. We cannot do what we do without partners like you.”
