Please join us in congratulating our controller, Kevin McCarty, on earning his Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation from the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA)!
The CCIFP designation is recognized as the gold standard in construction finance and remains the only accredited certification of its kind in the industry. By achieving this milestone, Kevin joins an elite group of just over 1,150 professionals nationwide who have met the rigorous standards required. As Kevin puts it, “This exam is four hours of math and mental gymnastics that will test your skills and knowledge in the industry.”
Earning the CCIFP designation is no small feat. It requires at least six months of preparation, including mandatory meetings, peer study groups, and extensive self-study. The certification covers eight key finance domains, including accounting and reporting, revenue recognition, budgeting and planning, risk management, taxes, human resources, legal issues, and information technology.
Beyond his certification, Kevin is a dedicated member of CFMA’s Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, where he serves on the board of directors and is a former peer group participant. In 2024, he was nationally recognized by CFMA as a Rising Star.
