Our Skiles Annual Meeting challenged our team to think differently about what service really looks like.
What does service look like?
Sometimes it looks like keeping a promise. Sometimes it means showing up for a teammate, honoring a commitment, or doing the right thing when no one is there to remind you.
At this year’s Annual Meeting at Sidecar Social in Addison, we introduced our 2026 company theme: Service. Rooted in one of our core values—Serve with Passion—this theme will guide us as we reflect on the many ways service shows up in our work, our relationships, our jobsites, and our communities.
Keynote speaker Alex Sheen, founder of because I said I would, set the tone with a powerful message about accountability, commitment, and the power of a promise. His story challenged us to think about what we commit to, how we follow through, and how lasting service begins with honoring the promises we make.
After the meeting, teammates enjoyed a little friendly competition with a basketball bracket, games, and time to relax, reconnect, and strengthen relationships outside the normal pace of the workday.
