Yesterday we had all 6 of our jobsites in the DFW area temporarily stop work to observe the Safety Stand-Down in partnership with TEXO, OSHA, NIOSH, and NORA. With falls still being the leading cause of death in our construction industry, we used this time to have an open discussion with over 170 our workers about the four main causes of these fall fatalities and how to prevent them. We use this Stand Down, as well as all of our weekly safety meetings, to refocus everyone’s attention towards safety, to help empower our work force to ensure safety, and to reiterate all of our management and supervisor’s commitment to the safety of workers.
