Michael Blakemore Chief Corporate Officer Skiles Group — Skiles Group has promoted Michael Blakemore to Chief Corporate Officer, reinforcing its commitment to disciplined growth and strengthening the corporate infrastructure that supports clients and project delivery.

Skiles Group, a Lean construction management firm specializing in healthcare and education projects, has promoted Michael Blakemore to the role of Chief Corporate Officer, formalizing the leadership he has been providing across the organization’s corporate functions.

In this role, Blakemore will lead and further strengthen the infrastructure supporting Skiles Group’s operations and long-term growth, including legal, risk management, insurance, bonding, compliance, and IT security. His work will focus on scaling these critical functions in alignment with the firm’s expanding national footprint, ensuring that internal systems remain as disciplined and high performing as the project teams they support.

“Michael has been operating at this level for some time, and this promotion recognizes both the leadership he’s already demonstrated and the role he will continue to play as we grow,” said Keyan Zandy, CEO of Skiles Group. “He brings a rare combination of operational depth and strategic thinking, with a clear understanding that strong corporate systems are essential to delivering predictable, high-quality outcomes for our clients. His leadership helps protect the business while enabling it to scale with intention.”

As Chief Corporate Officer, Blakemore’s responsibilities extend beyond project execution to encompass enterprise-level leadership. He will guide the systems and processes that underpin the company’s ability to manage risk, maintain compliance, and support increasingly complex projects across healthcare and education environments. This includes strengthening partnerships with insurers and surety providers, enhancing internal governance structures, and advancing the firm’s approach to data security and technology integration.

While stepping into this expanded leadership role, Blakemore will continue to support key clients, providing strategic oversight and guidance on the execution of complex work programs. His ongoing involvement ensures continuity for clients while strengthening the connection between enterprise leadership and project delivery.

“Skiles Group has always been intentional about how we build—not just our projects, but our business,” said Blakemore. “This role is about making sure the foundation behind our work is as strong as what we deliver in the field. By continuing to invest in our corporate infrastructure, we can better support our teams, reduce risk for our clients, and position the company for sustainable growth.”

Blakemore brings extensive experience in construction operations and executive leadership, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager with Skiles Group. In that role, he oversaw daily operations across the company, supported project teams nationwide, and ensured a consistent focus on client satisfaction, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Blakemore holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. He is an active member of the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), Lean Construction Institute (LCI), Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), and TEXO | The Construction Association.
