The Skiles Group team held a toy drive to fill the shelves for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County and help stock the Holiday Store. This amazing nonprofit provides hope to children and families victimized by child abuse.
A few team members also got into the spirit and created our own Skiles Group rendition of a classic holiday story:
Twas two weeks ‘til Christmas at Skiles Group’s HQ,
We came together, as we always do.
No stockings were hung, there’s no chimney there,
Yet the warmth of the season was felt everywhere.
We did it again, it’s become our tradition,
Spreading joy to some kids is our holiday mission.
We pitched in together, true-blue Skiles Groupers —
They always come through; they’re real Skiles Troupers!
For a toy drive! A worthwhile cause
To fill empty shelves and help Santa Claus.
Our table was stacked with games, toys, and more,
All ready to head to the “Holiday Store”
At the Children’s Advocacy Center—that’s where they were going,
And we were so happy, our smiles were just glowing!
Our cars packed with gifts, like a sleigh in the snow,
Onward, to the CAC of Collin County we go!
It’s a safe place, where support meets its call,
They care for young hearts that have weathered it all.
From healing to hope, they bring comfort and cheer,
And make things feel better at this time of year.
With stuffed animals piled and dolls in neat rows,
And Legos and Play-Doh so creativity flows!
The toy room is bursting with gifts on display,
Books, bikes, and Barbies all wait for their day.
A room filled with wonder, it sparkles so bright,
Where caregivers “shop” without cost in sight.
Where wishes come true and memories start,
Each treasure a token of love’s gentle art—
And remind every child that home isn’t a place,
It’s where kindness is found in a comforting space.
Together, we’ve shown what the season’s about:
It’s love, joy, and giving that truly stand out.
To all those who helped, we give our applause,
For making the magic and helping the cause.
So, here’s to the holidays! May yours be bright!
