Methodist Midlothian Medical Center Celebrates Groundbreaking with Skiles Group

November 13, 2025

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center has broken ground on an 8,500-square-foot emergency department expansion that will double the size of its ER and support the growing needs of the Midlothian community.

The project involves adding 16 exam rooms, relocating the isolation exam room, converting the former isolation suite into a trauma room, and introducing a new CT scanner to enhance diagnostic capabilities. The scope also includes a new parking lot elsewhere on campus to support patient and visitor access.

Expansions like this require the expertise of a dedicated healthcare construction company that understands the unique operational, safety, and regulatory requirements of active medical environments. From emergency departments and imaging suites to patient care areas, healthcare projects demand careful coordination to minimize disruption while improving patient access to care.

GUIDE Architecture, LLC designed the expansion with engineering partners WSP, ClayMoore Engineering, Kendall Landscape Architecture, and Salas O’Brien. Skiles Group team members joining in the day included Ross Brindle, Justin Davis, Ryan Pence, John Tribble, David Veliz, and Keyan Zandy.

Skiles Group is honored to serve as the construction partner for Methodist Health System as Methodist Midlothian celebrates its fifth anniversary and continues to advance its commitment to providing high-quality care for Ellis County families.
