September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and because workers in construction have one of the highest suicide rates compared to other industries, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is urging employers to discuss suicide prevention efforts and help raise awareness.
Our Director of Safety Brian Webster is hosting safety standdowns across our job sites throughout September to bring this topic out in the open and top of mind. These conversations can be awkward to have, but simply sharing facts and available resources for help is much needed.
